My body is the boss.

I just answered a post about what was better, to be a vegetarian or a meat eater.
I answered that I was neither. Sometimes I wanted to eat a nice casserole mostly made of veggies, sometimes I am for a dish of lentils and sometimes I want a juicy steak.
But I have also discovered that as I age, I´m more into chicken and fish and only have a small amount of very good grilled once in a while.
And there are things I don´t eat much any longer (sweets or ice cream) and others that I only eat when I go out like French fries. I even drink a lot less of any alcoholic drinks.
How about you? What does your body say? Is it wise?

I am like you. I like my vegetables. I like my meat. I have to have both. I also have to have pasta.

You are a very wise lady, to make these healthy choices. We eat far less meat, than we did as young adults. And like you, we grill most of the meats that we consume. Jay and I eat more vegetables than before, whether cooked or raw, but fewer sweet desserts. I seldom eat French fries, maybe one time every other month.

@kobesbuddy I just can´t imagine how I could eat so much when I was young and did not gain a pound. Now I look at food and put on over two.

Same here, even though, if they ask me, I say I love them all.

It's very important that you know your body requirements.

I know. Some people have trouble with that and either eat too much or too little.

My body, doesn't tell me directly what to eat. Many times I eat too much of what I want and feel bad after that. My body, when it feels good, I know I did what it needed. When I eat what I want, many times it goes wrong. So, my body is like a boss, it is not a dictator, but, it is a thing I depend on, and I tend to forget it.

Yes, I am not into beef or pork anymore. Nor breads or pasta. I love all vegetables.
