Poor Pluto! 1891 - Thomas Edison patents the motion picture camera. 1981 - Mark David Chapman is sentenced to 20 years to life for the murder of John Lennon. 1995 - Window 95 was released to the public in North America. 2018 - Robin Leach passes away. He was an English entertainment reporter and writer and was born in 1941. He hosted Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (see below) from 1984-1995. His signature phrase was "champagne wishes and caviar dreams". 1965 - Marlee Matlin was born. She is an American actress, producer, author and activist. She won an Academy Award for her performance in Children of a Lesser God and is the only deaf performer to have won this award.
