Finally the weather was sunny this morning that’s why I decided to go and walk to a nearby pet store. The fish I had in mind was not available and saw those nice neon tetra and cardinal tetras. I bought three cardinals and 2 neon tetras plus I found this cute little shrimps. I decided to buy a couple. I let to acclimate first for about half an hour before I released it from the tank. Unfortunately, I was not able to notice that I chose one cardinal that was weak. It was the first casualty for after couple of hours I released it I noticed he was not active as the others the found it dead later on.. So all in all tank has 4 fish and a couple of shrimps. The shrimps just not visible in the picture since it was hiding somewhere.

I didn't know that the shrimps could be grown in an aquarium. Can they survive long?

I bought neon tetras and cardinal tetras. It is actually a very delicate fish but I found them attractive and peaceful to look at.

Thanks! I really love doing the maintenance may a bit time consuming, like I will have to schedule another partial water change this weekend since I find another growth of algae in the glass tank and some has established itself on the leaves of the plants so I will have to make thorough cleaning of the tank once again to make it look good.

@ilocosboy Hopefully, Now that is is filled with fish the environment changes pretty quickly now and I think I would have to do a partial water change this weekend to remove those debris from excess food and poops that have accumulated the past few days.

There ate fish food of course. I am looking forward for them to stay healthy. But that depends on me because I will be keeping the place intact and in balance.

Thanks been waiting for two weeks because I had to cycle my new aquarium to normalize. I think two weeks is enough as I see algae growth and some other living things started crawling in my tank. That made me decide to put in my first occupants.

@Hannihar Haha I wish I could say that to them. But it seems like they liked the place and enjoying the place pretty much. I wanted more fish but I don’t think I can add more because of the space.

It is nice to hear that you got the first occupants. I have never seen neon tetra or cardinal tetra in person, but I like the way they look on photos.

Except for the one that didn’t survive everything is doing well. The four seems to be enjoying the place. The shrimps are swimming okay and doing their things cleaning the debris in the tank. I might still try to buy some more to make the aquarium more lively. But it would be later maybe because I might be overcrowding it already.

Thanks though there’s one casualty but I think that’s the risks I have to accept in this kind of hobby.
