Coloring hair, a review

Hi My Lot! This post is inspired by my mom and myself - recently getting "new hair"! I decided to go a more brilliant shade of purple and put in 2 stripes as opposed to the 1 stripe I usually do. I like it a great deal, however in future think I will stick with getting just the one stripe as the bleach required to make dark hair take a fun color does damage the hair, making it dry and straw like. Another thing I thought of this time was to be mindful of the color that will remain after the purple washes out. Even though it's "permanent" dye - it likely will only last a few months . When I did this back in April I actually really liked the blonde/white stripe left after my purple washed out , so I discussed this with the beautician - who made sure that the underlying color would be nice even when the color is out. As for my mom - she went her usual dark brown which looks much nicer than the warmer color she tried . How do you like your hair styled? Photo: Mine
