Back from the dentist: no implants

I went to the dentist, mainly to talk to him. There is a molar that has not behaved very well, but it doesn´t hurt either.
The dentist had proposed a couple of implants. One would be instead of the problematic molar and the other would be in a space I have farther away. None of them, even if I laughed a lot, would be noticed.
These last days, after I learned how much I have spent on other things, I realized that I have to choose between what is necessary and what is luxury. And I talked to the dentist in those terms.
Finally we decided that nothing would be done unless the molar hurt. He looked at it and said nothing would happen during my vacations. We will see when I´m back.
I my country, there is no health insurance for teeth so it is very expensive to take care of them

It is very annoying as teeth are a vital part of our health.

We seem to have a great health system according to what I've read here. We have health insurance and chose to include dental cover as well. It isn't really cheap but it certainly pays if you have some health issues. The main difference being having cover and not having cover is that, if you have it, you don't have to wait to have most procedures done.

That happens in my country, but dental is not covered in health insurances.

@marguicha It's an option for us as a couple of other things are too.

I do have dental coverage, that my husband pays through his employer. They pay for part of our dental expenses, but not all of it. Dental implants, whitening, or braces, they won't cover any part of this.

@kobesbuddy Teeth are made to chew. What can we do without teeth?

@marguicha They claim that all these procedures are cosmetic, to make a person look nicer.

I don't have much dental insurance. A little, but not much.
However, since I have a low income, I don't have to pay a lot to see my dentist, who works in a nearby community health center.

Oh, take care of it. But, good that it's not hurting you much. I heard usually dental being the cosmetic thingy costs us a lot in many places.

Dental care has never been mandatory on health insurance. I was lucky it was included on my last job.

I don´t know if in the best health plans it is included. But That can be paid only for the richer who have money for the dentists anyway.
