My dad just came home!!!!

Last night a nurse at the hospital did say that my dad could come back home today but with no offence to her, I just didn't take it to heart because like I said in my previous post, the last time my dad was told that, he was there for 4 weeks. So I didn't want to get my hopes up. I am not sure if any more surgery is in store for my dad. I hope not. But you never know. My dad seems fine. Just limping a little bit but that's to be expected. Right now he is laying in bed with his girlfriend and they are giggling a lot so that's good. He seems happy still. Not really much else to say right now. I'm happy he is home. Other than that, I'm just exhausted. Very little sleep past two nights. Just going to be super lazy today. Hope everyone is doing good.

Things must have been looking good for them to discharge him. This will be easier on everyone.

@Juliaacv It's looking good but only for now. My dad is not completely out of the woods yet with all this. But for today, it's good.

I am so glad, it means that it was a minor surgery and everything went well. You must be relieved. I am happy he is at home and he is doing fine. You can sleep well tonight.

@VivaLaDani13 I can understand he was a bit down, surely the fact that they sent him home so soon helped to feel better.

@LadyDuck Thank you so very much. I am glad that he is accepting and seems to be in good spirits. When this very first started he was still handling well, but could just tell he was a bit down with it all. Thank you.

Giggles are good . You are understandably tired. You don't really sleep in stressful situations. But I hope you get some break.

@Janet357 oh no. I am STILL worried! His foot isn't safe yet. And thank you. I will be just taking it easy today. I did a lot of housework last night so today is just TV and MyLotting day.

I’m so thankful!! I know he probably is, too. When you don’t feel well the only two things you want to do is eat and sleep, and what are the two things you can NEVER get in a hospital? Food and rest! You get some rest, too!! Lots of people don’t seem to remember how physically and emotionally draining a love one’s illnesses or injuries are to the family!

@FourWalls You are exactly right! Thankfully he got food. He has to eat otherwise his sugar will go low. But he didn't sleep as I know it's hard to sleep there with all the interruptions. Thank you so very much. You are so sweet! I am just taking it easy today for sure. TV and MyLotting is all I am doing today. And eventually eat.
