1422 - King Henry V of England dies, making his 9-month-old son, Henry VI, King of England.
1895 - German Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin patents his navigable balloon.
1897 - Thomas Edison patents the Kinetoscope, the first movie projector.
1949 - Richard Gere was born. He is an American actor and producer. In 1980 American Gigolo made him famous. Some of his other movies: An Officer and a Gentleman, Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Arbitrage and Chicago.
1970 - Debbie Gibson was born. She is an American singer/songwriter, producer and TV/film actress. Some of her famous songs: Foolish Beat, Lost in Your Eyes, Shake Your Love, Electric Youth, I Think We're Alone Now, Only in my Dreams (see below). Some of her movies: My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus and Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.
