Dorian Turned Away

Tomorrow I go to the hospital for some kind of scan. Once again they will be looking into how well my digestive system is pushing the food through my body. Hopefully they will tell me it is doing something more than it was.
Anyway, the good news is...Dorian is not hitting us in my little corner of the good old state of Florida. What a relief. We are all prepared for the next hurricane that happens to come along. So glad this one turned away.
Other that that news, there is nothing going on here. We are spending the day inside, it is raining out there, and doing our own thing. I will be working on some stitching and writing.

We sure got lucky, didn't we? It's not often that Florida gets to dodge the bullet, so we must surely feel extra relieved when we do! No we just have to step it up and help the good people of the Bahamas.

@HazySue It would be some serious luck or serious divine intervention if we make it the rest of the year without a tropical system disrupting our daily lives.

love the quote, such's quite true. hopefully yer gonna get good news from the scan, hon. nice to hear yer not gettin' too many ill 'ffects from dorian. the potential fer mass floodin' 'tis still quite high 's 't makes 'ts way 'long the coast.
purty much the same ol' schtuff here. tendin' horses, doctorin' mr. whiskey, waterin', weedin', laundry, cleanin' house, makin' homemade apple turnoer's fer the hubs. well, 'lready made 'em, lol. didn't quite turn out 's planned this go 'round. thinkin' the humidity 's somethin' to do with such...

@HazySue i jest hope we've no more hurricanes this season. the islands 've been battered 'nough, 's well 's our coastal areas 'n 'p 'nto canada.
i came from humidity to this arid clime, so when the humidity here reaches o'er 30 i'm purty much a wimp, lol.

I am always thinking that tomorrow will be better. It is so sad what happened to the Bahamas. They seem now to be pretty much in the same position as Puerto Rico. I am sure your apple turnovers turned out delicious. Humidity is a pain.

I'm sure glad to hear the hurricane didn't hit you all. We're expecting it, hopefully in a lessened form, today and tomorrow in NC.

@HazySue We got a night of strong winds and rain, but thank God no damage. I wonder how the Bahamas will ever recover...I can't even imagine.

It's good news to hear that Dorian is moving away and hopefully it won't impact any of the other states as it moves along. It's hurricane season and I think I heard there's a new one around Mexico somewhere?
Today is a decent day. We have sunshine but thunderstorms expected later this afternoon. Nothing other than the general house cleaning for today.
