An honest conductor being prasised for returning a lost envelope

I really admire the actions of Long island Rail Road (LIRR) conductor Jerry Savino who found a huge envelope that was inside a train that had $9,000 dollars inside.
Savino did what is right by handing the envelope to the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) in Jamaica Terminal after he located the envelope out of Hempstead on Tuesday.
The MTA officials were able to locate the passenger who nearly lost the money after it was determined that it was not any criminal actions by the man who nearly lost the huge amount of money that would tempt anyone to "borrow" it claiming "Finders keepers, losers weepers" thinking.
The name of the businessman who was grateful that the money he nearly lost was not revealed to the public for obvious reasons.
Jerry insists that he does not any reward for his act of honesty, being praised by his superiors is fair enough.
Of course the one catch is all LIRR trains have security cameras on board to monitor any suspicious activity.
Jerry believes that a good name working for his employer is better than being branded as a thief over stealing money from a stranger while he is on the clock.

I agree with you since it is better to have a good reputation than being branded a thief.

Jerry is to be commended for this honesty; and his actions give the MTA a good name.

That is true since many of us feel frustrated over the lack of money to make ends meet these days.

We have a lot of honest finders in our place . They're ordinary people who earn a small amount of money by driving a motorized tricycle. They return their finds to the police station.
