It's All Been Kicking Off!

It seems years since I last posted on MyLot but time has just overtaken me. To start with, as many of you will know, I'm a big England cricket fan and I've been listening to the matches on BBC radio ... I'm not prepared to pay £20 a month to watch it on Sky. So that's been taking up four or five days of listening from around 10.30 in the morning to 6.00 at night every other week. Now that my partner and I can officially be classed as members of the 'ageing community' our doctors have decided that we have nothing better to do than keep going to the village surgery for blood tests, urine tests etc for various ailments so it seems that just about every Friday one or other of us is at the surgery for tests or to get results of tests. And then, horror of horrors, my laptop died on me! I'm not really computer savvy so Adam, who was a computer engineer, spent considerable time looking for a new one for me and I now have a nice new Lenovo which (touch wood) works like a dream.. As some of you know I bring a little bit of extra money into the household by doing online surveys and, following a fairly slack summer, it seems all of the companies are now getting back into the swing of things following a few weeks of sunbathing and I've been starting those when I get up (which is normally about 6.00 am!) and work through until lunchtime. I've then discovered that a lot of UK magazines do free to enter online competitions so I started doing some on Bella, Take a Break, That's Life and Yours magazines. I noticed that the publisher was Bauer so I Googled the name and came up with a long list of their magazines. I went to each of them and discovered that they all seem to do roughly the same competitions - some of them do more than others but I consider that if I spend my afternoons just clicking 'enter' on all the prizes I want each day then I stand a reasonable chance of winning. I've also discovered Woman's Weekly, Woman's Own and Woman do the same thing - click to win. You can enter these prize draws once a day. And, of course, I'm still hooked on the Facebook game Solitaire: Arthur's Tale so when I've finished my working day I can relax with a nice slow paced card game. So that's what I've been up to but, once I've done my shopping online with Asda today hopefully I'll have some time left to post something else on MyLot.
