I posted a discussion, but we evidently had a storm surge at that time. The lights did not flicker, but. . . My microwave went out. My dishwasher stopped mid cycle, and evidently my discussion was shot from the sky by a bolt of lightening. The first discussion said that I did not get back here yesterday after mowing because I had an adware attack that disabled me for a while. I ran MalWare Bytes and it took out 44 items, but then would not allow anything to come up on the computer. I just went to bed. Starting around 4:30 this morning we have had thunderstorms. Glad I got the important part of the mowing done. I removed MalWare Bytes and now here I am. It is Sunday. Next is church.

I am happy that you got here Heather. I used to live in a cottage and electric power cuts happened a lot. It makes you realize how many electric things we rely on in the kitchen. I hope that you had a lovely time at the church.

It is a small church, and I get to select the music we sing. We have a wonderful organist and I enjoy it a lot. I got a gas stove to cook on in the event we had outages I would have something.

@maximax8 it was good advice we got from a person who had lived here. Our house is in a position that sometimes has great winds blowing across open fields and so I would not want it to be all electric.

@GardenGerty It sounds like a lovely church and I am sure the singing sounds amazing. Well done to the organist. I am pleased that you have a gas stove. My cooker is electrically powered.

I'm glad your computer is back up and running now after all that you had to do to fix it. I hate when something like that happens. We had a little rain here yesterday and there's like a 30% chance of rain today. Hope you don't have anymore power surges this weekend.

@Blondie2222 Yes. I love storms but not storm damage and interference.

Lightening can really mess things up. Hopefully it didn't destroy anything. There is some good and some not so good effects of some of our apps.

Well that seems to be part of what is wrong with my router, that and old age.

@HazySue I am told I got pretty long life from these. I think the new one will combine both functions in one box.

The rain is not bad, it is the lightening and wind that causes the trouble.

We had a power cut last night too but it seems it was only for about ten minutes. I woke up and the clock was flashing but the time showing was only ten minutes out.

Yes, I had plenty of time. I even took a nap. I lead the singing at the church.
