1504 - Michelangelo's David is unveiled in Florence
1892 - The Pledge of Allegiance is first recited.
1930 - 3M begins marketing Scotch transparent tape.
1966 - Star Trek premiers.
1925 - Peter Sellers was born. He was an English actor and comedian. He is best known for portraying Chief Inspector Clouseau in the five Pink Panther movies. Some of his other notable movies: Dr. Strangelove, What's New Pussycat?, Casino Royale. He died in 1980.
1932 - Patsy Cline was born. She was an American singer, songwriter and pianist and was able to cross over from country to pop music. I am not a country fan; but I love Patsy Cline's voice and songs. Some of her well known songs: Crazy (see below), Walkin' After Midnight, I Fall to Pieces, She's Got You, Sweet Dreams. She was killed in a small plane crash in 1963 in the same situation as Buddy Holly's plane crash. The pilot was not trained to fly by instruments in bad weather.
1938 - Adrian Cronauer was born. He was an American sergeant and radio host. He was the DJ for the Armed Forces Network during the Vietnam war and was portrayed by Robin Williams in the 1987 film, "Good Morning, Vietnam!" He died in 2018.

@CarolDM Tennessee walked all over the Browns; and the Browns had almost 200 yards of penalties. The whole game was embarrassing.

@LindaOHio I watched a little after I realized Derrick Henry was playing. And I saw the penalty where the guy was ejected. Too bad.

wow so many things I can relate to and love. Patsy Cline songs, Star Trek (all series) Peter Sellers a fine comedian, etc. thanks

And most importantly to our family: our son was born on this day! That was absolutely one of the happiest days of my life. The sweet little blue eyed blond.

@LindaOHio Thanks, he's a single dad and we're very proud of him. So glad he and Nathan only live about an hour away. Oh, and I love Patsy Cline. She and Tammy Wynette were in a class of their own.
