Why you gotta be so rude?

On the way back from our day trip, our group stopped at Shatley Springs to get some spring water and look at their little gift shop. A few of us did not bring any jugs to gather the water so we had to go pay $1.07 for the jugs we wanted. I also purchased some pumpkin butter (that came from the city that I live in actually). Anyway, we had to wait for the lady to get back into the gift shop, which took a few minutes. When she got back she was rather rude to two of the ladies that were also in there with us. She was snippy with us as well. We saw one of the ladies that she had been rude to a little while later. She was a local and we asked her if the lady was always like that. Apparently, she is always rude, atleast to that customer. We all thought it was rather rude, but personally we put on our best smiles and was nice to her. While she wasn't as rude with the local as she was with us, she was still somewhat snippy. Honestly, I understand bad days, but there's no excuse for being rude like that. I'm guessing that lady is in the wrong line of work.

It sounds as if she is, for sure. I have on my mental list to make pumpkin butter. It sounds good.

I've bought store made pumpkin butter. This Pumpkin Butter I just bought is most likely industrially made. It had an address but not a company name. I want to make my own pumpkin butter, but this will suffice. I had some mixed in with a banana for dessert when I got home. It was delicious. I am thinking to mix it in with my oatmeal.

@infatuatedbby Yeah, I haven't set out to look for any reviews of the place. It's just a "guest store" type shop. I forgot to mention that a friend had to go back into ask about something else and the woman said "I don't know." and didn't seem to want to provide any info.

I mean, she was rude to an older lady who was nice enough to let us go ahead of her. Pretty uncalled for.

I wonder how many people oriented jobs this lady has had? She sounds like quite a case.

Well, this was a small little town. I don't think there were very many places to choose from for employment. I felt as if maybe she had been there for far too many years and just wanted to be retired.

Some folk are just miserable. Definitely not a characteristic to have if you have a public-facing role. Or, maybe she just really dislikes that woman, and seeing her puts her in a bad mood!

She was rude to two different ladies, and even kind of snippy with us. I think she probably doesn't like her job all that much, but is stuck in it. We were in a small little mountain town with very few businesses.
