Day 37 Promise 40 Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. What makes you afraid? What makes you want to turn back instead of moving forward? It’s easy to stay in your comfort zone where everything is familiar. It’s hard to leave the familiar and venture into the unknown. God told Moses to lead His people out of Egypt, out of bondage, out of everything they were familiar with and take lead them to the Promised Land. However, in order to do that, they needed to leave their comfort zone. When faced with the Red Sea, they pleaded with Moses to let them return to what they knew. Yet Moses told them to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. He would fight for them and they would never face the Egyptians or bondage again. It’s hard to stand still when you see so much adversity. It’s hard to stand still when people urge you to go back to what you know. It’s hard to stand still when your mind reminds you of everything you left behind. Yet, that is what God urges you to do. When the enemy comes at you, when life throws you under the bus, when the night is so dark it doesn’t seem like dawn will ever take place, that is when God says, stand fast and see my salvation. Watch me work everything out for you. In life’s darkest hour, you need to trust God to carry you through. Let’s pray: Father, You know I don’t like leaving my comfort zone. You know how easy it is to stay with the familiar and not go into the unknown. Help me trust You to lead me when life comes at me on all sides. Let me trust Your plan for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 9 September 2019 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

This is a great assurance from the Lord God. He will fight for our battle in life as long as we believe and have faith in Him.

Amen! Leaving our comfort zone can be something as simple as helping someone with food or money-KNOWING even though we don't make much that God will provide! He always does, I can say that first hand. He owns all & provides everything we have. =)

Yes, He does. He's provided for me too when I've stepped out in faith. Have a blessed day.
