Cats are Bird Watching the Doves

@CarolDM My besties cat, well one of them, is black. No white patch on his body. He is a beautiful baby and enjoys cuddles and forehead kisses. He's precious and I've threatened to steal him a time or two.

That is great, I love 70s. It is a challenge getting a good photo of the Dude since he is black. The lighting is the key. Mine are declawed (were declawed when I rescued them) so they are not safe outside. They are content inside.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The Dude is like a teddy bear but not big on hugs. And he is a talker.

@CarolDM 'ndeed they do! i've thought 'f those fast growers, related to willows i believe? grow like 12' a year 'r somethin' 'long that line. that'd be the hiccup 'f me plantin' those e'ergreens to block the folks ('n their blowin' trash...) - such'd cut off our natural breezes. our winds 're predominately from the southwest. ugh, the pasture 's been crispy'n brown fer o'er 2 months now. what few light showers we've gotten recent 'f barely put a hint 'f green. the yard 'tis 'nly greenish coz 'f waterin' the mature trees. el nino 'n our monsoon season 've been quite the disappointment this year. i so hope ya get some rains there, hon. those cooler temps'll be there shortly 's autumn 'tis right 'round the corner, with winter soon followin'.

@crazyhorseladycx Oh my, 12 feet a year sounds perfect. I will have to research that one. Is it called a Willow Hybrid tree? Those are suppose to grow 6 feet a year. I keep thinking this week will be better, and it will eventually.

Cats have the life don't they! I need some fast growing trees to go along the back. I have pines but need more. We need cool air and rain so bad. The grass is turning brown. It did good all summer, now the middle of September almost and it is turning brown.

The cypress have grown into a great fence! You can see them in the background. But that is just on one side. Now with the new neighbors, I need more along the back of the yard.

It is great entertainment for them so they don't get bored.

Thank you, the door I had open leads into my bedroom. There is another glass patio on the other side of the screen room. It leads out to the deck and garden. Good luck!
