Just got off the phone with Netflix. Because again they charged my account early and over drafted it. I noticed it when I went to order me some Damp-rid with money a dear friend gave me and was unable to get them still. I obviously can not afford this 12 dollar luxury, I am going to miss it but there are other things I can watch. other channels online. Still need the Damp-rids Have to wait till 17 th. Also, I was looking through my laptop here trying to figure out why there are these pop ups going on every couple hours or so. on my screen. bottom right. Guess when I feel better I will ask Daddy Evil here for help. hes quite the whiz with these things. I found looking in This PC - Documents a file called youcam, created 4-5-2015 at 1;45 am Don't know what that is or if I should delete it. ? AAhh if only I had more tech knowledge. How is your day progressing? Now on to notifications.

I was thinking of getting Netflix. If they do things like this, I can live without them. I think that @DaddyEvil can help with this kind of problem.

dunno 'bout netflix, i believe the aunt's such? but then she switches quite often with those thingies. i'd get rid 'f that o'erdraft protection. the hubs lost his mind sometime back, ne'er crossed his mind what might be'n his 'ccount (yep, we've separate 'ccounts, he's ne'er balanced a checkbook...). within 12 days, he'd squandered o'er $1600'n o'erdraft fees! not'n any major purchases, mind'ja. 'twas $2.95 here (+ $36 fee), $6.00 there, etc. ya know, coz he likes to snack all day 't work 'n refuses to take his lunch 'r drinks. i cut 't off. we've still not recovered from such. i presume that'd be 'bout the age 'f yer puter? here's a link to checkin' such's safety'n how to remove 't if'n ya choose to do so:

My Netflix is only $9 you must have the ability for more than one person to watch it at a time, that is more expensive, I have only one person on at a time for the $9. I have never had a problem with the billing but I understand that your budget is tight.

yes. I even had daughter pawn my rings which I still love but don't really wear any more anyway. We needed money for cooking oil and laundry soap etc. She never seems to have time to go see about food banks etc. It is what it is most of her day off today she has been arguing with her bf to leave or get a job and stop mooching off us. I think it is finally over. he's been packing to go to his moms but I don't think she will be happy, his mom.

@BelleStarr I am very happy about how she is handling things. May be too little too late but once he is gone and I can work on things we should finally get even here and stop nearly starving this time of month. Just need to catch up and catch a breathe. It might be hard till I stop being afraid of being alone here during evening when she works late or when the weather is bad. Maybe my doctor can help me figure something out with that. Can't afford to hire anyone but surly something will work.

YouCam is a software for the web camera. Do you have a camera on your laptop? It could be part of the system, do not delete it.

That sounds awful about Netflix. I'm content with Youtube though I bet that will start demanding payment sooner than later.

Most of the good programs have gone to Patreon or some other pay thing. It is the same with a lot of things online. You get up to three reads or shows free, then you have to pay. You could see your finances gone if you had to pay for everything. I hate having to pay for information that used to be free.

Well depends a lot on what other things you have to enjoy in life I guess. are you mainly bed ridden from arthritis and have no partner and very few people coming in your room to talk with or maybe you have a pet to love on ? I have so few things in life it just not fun giving up one more. But like I said yes youtube is free and I have All access for only 6 bucks a month to the channel I watch most CBS and Hulu which is likely going next.

We have Netflix but I rarely use it. My daughter is the one who uses it most. I have watched three movies today though since I am stuck on the couch. I bought a smart TV recently and it has free apps I can watch free movies on. I haven't watched any on the free apps yet though as I have such a large watch list on Netflix.

My daughter has one of those that she is renting to own I think. It looks different from mine and she says it has somethings built in. sounds cool. It is good to have something to watch while you can;t walk around a lot. So now you know why I watch so much tv too. hope your foot is better soon. and heals quickly

Yes I usually order them from Walmart online where I can find the fragrance free ones. Daughter can't find fragrance free locally. they all have added scents and that irritates my breathing.

We get some shows to watch from the library. We select online and pick them up. But they will mail the purchases to us too! And provide the postage to mail back. Also, I get audio books from the library. I listen on my phone but computer works too. That is done completely online.

@bunnybon7 I am sorry you cannot afford it. For me it is cheaper than what I paid for the cable I hated that was not worth it. We only had two cable stations till Netflix came here and the other one did not have programs I liked. Netflix went up in price but it is still cheaper than what I paid. We pay in shekels and not dollars.

Oh the joys of paying for something monthly that they direct withdraw from your account. I still have netflix and thankfully haven't had any issues with them. So your file called youcam is a webcam management and photo editing application. It is not required on your computer and if you don't use it, it can be removed. I highly doubt that is what is causing your pop up, unless it is telling you there is an update for the software but unless you set it up to do that it is unlikely the cause of the pop up.

thank you. Seems you are quite tech savy. Never had a problem with Netflix till now after 10 yrs of having it. Just noticed them charging me earlier each month. Probably because I have never been this broke for 45 yrs now Moving to this terrible house has really set me back too far to get back on track. I got a go fund me before we moved but obviously it wasn't enough I had asked for after all and several friends have helped. Just nearly impossible to get even again.

I'm sorry they charged you early. I have two auto payments that I need to be sure I don't spend as they are in the middle of the month - Netflix, and the first of the month - Hulu. That one comes out two days before payday. Sometimes it's hard holding that money for a full month.

$12 is your money, that they want to get out of your pocket. It's a shame, they can't be more honest! I have very little knowledge about computers and the Internet. So I just flow with the crowd and let everyone else figure it out:)
