So apparently women don’t know how to properly dispose of a tampon. I’m amazed by how many thing it’s accepted to flush them down the toilet. Really!!! You can’t do that. I’ve never used tampons and even I know that. You have to throw them in the trash. Do you know what happened when you flush a tampon. Well it gets stuck some where in the pipes and over time a clog will happen and make a big mess. Thousands of dollars to fix your plumbing. So if you didn’t already know my female mylotters don’t flush your tampon. Wrap them in some toilet paper and toss them in the trash.

Flushed tampons are a plumbers worst nightmare! You know what plumbers call them? White mice. If you ever hear a plumber talking about white mice, he/she is referring to flushed tampons!

@yoalldudes me too. I use light pads the last cycle I didn’t leak much so I must have had it in the right places. The time before when I had a smaller cup. I went up a size and that fixed that.

@ShyBear88 I am still adjusting to it. I still use pads sometimes. That is good that you have.

Only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet in the UK and other western countries. In some countries you put toilet paper in a bin. I would never put a tampon or pad into a toilet. I wrap it up and place it into a bin.

Same here. They are not designed to breakdown like toilet paper is.

@ShyBear88 Years ago I owned a cottage and while I traveled I let it out. a couple rented it and the lady put used tampons in the garden! I don't understand why the lady did that. Into the bin they should have gone.

I always knew that. It's common sense. I once had a step daughter that was so hateful. When I told her that she would just leave them on the floor or back of the commode just laying in the open. Nasty. We finally had a big blow up and her dad made her leave to stay with her mom.

Ewww! I’ve seen girls wraps there in toilet paper then placed them in the trash can. Which is the nice way to go so it’s not all out there.

@ShyBear88 her mom was nasty too and never taught them anything. I had hoped to teach and mother the girl but she continued to ignore my teachings and I and my daughters could not live with that.

Its basic sense to not throw garbage else than bin...there are different set of bins in entire states/country where you should be throwing waste as per the nature....can't see how still people can be ignorant.

It’s pretty easy to think. Tampons from your period goes to the trash, or the of you in a public bathroom many have a bin in the stalls for that. Supper easy to put them in there.

I've got the tampon in the toilet topped! When I had my baby I taught my husband to dip the diaper in the toilet to get the poopie off the diaper and if it wouldn't come off that way hold the diaper firmly by the corner and flush the toilet (still holding onto the diaper) so the flushing would remove the poopie. Well being the dimwit he was he flushed the diaper down the toilet. We used cloth diapers and we must have gone through a dozen cloth diapers that way. He never did figure out that you hold on the the dry end of the diaper firmly when you flush the toilet. Fortunately we had good flushing action and strong suction (we lived in town) but I am sure the men at the sewage treatment plant would say "Yep Dean is changing the diaper again" when they found the diaper in the solid waste section.

Most places now around where I live have notes posted to the doors or signs to not flush anything that isn’t toilet paper.
