Actually, probably not a happy day for those scared of the number 13..
I'm not going to lie, while I know it's somewhat silly to be scared of the number, I am not it's biggest fan either. Of course my reasons are different from most others, and no I won't be divulging why I am not the number's biggest fan.
There are several theories as to why the number 13th has been considered unlucky, and why people fear a Friday that is also the 13th day of the month.
One theory has to do with The Last Supper but I won't be getting into that one, for the sheer fact that I am not religious.
I think one of the most popular (one I've heard of most often) reasons for it's unlucky connotation is that of the mass arrest of The Knight's Templar. King Phillip the IV of France arrested hundreds of the Templars on Friday 13th in October of 1307.
It's estimated that 17 to 21 million people are afraid of this day, going out of their way to do little or nothing, and especially not travelling by air.

@Bensen32 It just seems like it was Monday a few days ago. I mean, it was, but it just seems like we've skipped a couple of days.

It is lucky for some, but not for others. It varies for me,but usually isn't a bad day.

@Starkinds I think that the majority of the world think it's just an ordinary day, but there are still those that are afraid of the number and / or the date itself.

I was just reminded that I have a step-cousin (my aunt's step daughter) that was born on a Friday the 13th in June.It is usually an okay day for me, but it also depends. If I have to work that day, it usually goes terribly wrong.

I'm not really superstitious either. My fear is rather irrational, and while I know this, it doesn't make it any less real.

I don't fear it, just leery of it. I put caution to the wind on this day and don't plan anything special or do financial things today...not even paying bills.

I'm glad I don't have any bills due on this day, but if I did, I'd probably pay them a day early or a day late.
