A Pain In My Middle Size Butt

I went to work this afternoon, the temps really was not cooler but I can`t wait for the temperatures to get lower to get this house ready, however, I did open all the doors and I had 2 fans with me. Tony didn`t feel like helping with the window and my sister just got back from the doctor so I put that project aside, I have plywood over the window. I had stopped and bought 2 new blinds, the one for the picture window and one for the small side window, those were planned. Now, these are the new no hanging stings to raise and lower the blinds, different size top so you cannot reuse the "pain in the butt to get up holders" meaning I had to take the drill and get those screws out and put in the new ones that are not plastic little boxes but metal thingies that the blinds "click" into and they are no less a pain in the butt! I am trying to put the screws in with the bracket bouncing around because holding a screw to get the bit into the screw to drill, anyone who has ever used a cordless drill up above their heads knows how heavy they are..... Serious pain in my butt! I got them up without cussing to much. Then I had to mop again, I am not sure the cleaning lady I hired didn`t use a soured mop, the place stunk! Th other day when I drove the truck I grabbed that mop and cleaned it good here at home. I took 4 gallons of water with me and fabuloso cleaner, green apple. I used one gallon and a generous amount of cleaner for the first 2 floors, dumped and used another gallon to clean the mop, repeated again. The last floor was the laundry room, the room that I had not cleaned yet because its outside by the garage, but the garage is now closed in and a large room, the floor is cement in there so I took a broom and the cleaner and scrubbed that floor, then mopped it clean.... well round one. I will mop this house till the rinse water is clear before handing the keys to the new tenant. I gathered all the trash and put the can to the road for pick up Monday. Outside I scrubbed the front porch and swept piles of grass away from the garage door. I loaded all the empty jugs and my tools in the car. I didn`t get a lot accomplished at the rental but what I did is better than nothing. I sure hope that it smells better. How was your Saturday?

A stinky place is intolerable and I would not pay. Yes, I know about using heavy drills above my head. A pain in the back. Sending you Redneck Assertiveness Mojo. You should be able to do your part and expect others to do the same.

Sad Saturday. I had to attend a seminar, which was boring. The good thing was we had free meal and some coffee.

Yes, I have uses a cordless drill above my had and I fully agree with you, a real pain. I painted the walls of the upstairs bathroom. I had washed in the morning, let them dry and painted in the afternoon. This is part of the Autumn cleaning.

@andriaperry You are so right, you never know how to place the ladder and how to move inside a bathroom.

And bathrooms are the hardest! Most would think not because they are small but the smallness is the hard part.

I can imagine how heavy that drill was. I've done things over my head before. It's awkward and it always takes longer than it looks like it should. You were very busy mopping. I hope you got that smell out. I had a good day yesterday.

I have trouble using an electric drill, especially over head! You did a lot of cleaning and your new tenant will be very happy about this. We went for groceries Saturday and then visited with our daughter and Aubrey for a couple hours, before they went home.
