Why Yes I Can

I notice that many people chose one type of music and that is it, no one can persuade them to listen to anything else, ever. (Wait, that was my step mother!) Not me I love all music, I can crank up classical as well as rap, or heavy metal and all in between. I think its because I was raised in a country- rock- classical listening home. I do have favorites, that would be rock and pop. Thank you, that was my announcement for the day.

I used to listen to all genre's as well. Now I listen to Christian music. =) Christian music sure has expanded through the years though-they now have rap, country, rock, etc!

I like oldies (60s and 70s), R&B, classical, easy listening, soft pop and very little country (Patsy Cline, Shania Twain). I've even gotten old enough to enjoy some swing and big band music.

I love and or can tolerate any kind of music, I just get turned off a bit when there's too much cussing and bad words.

Keith Urban and Blue Ain't Your Color is one of my favorites. I can listen to most music but still shudder from all the heavy metal my kids played when they were growing up.

@andriaperry I used to call that stuff head banging music. When my kids would blast it I wanted to bang my head against the wall

There are some types of music that I just cannot tolerate, anything too twangy on the country side sends me over the edge. Strangely enough I do like just about any kind of rock, or rap. I know its odd for a person my age to enjoy rap, but that rubbed off on me while our son was a teenager.

I mostly listen to country but do flip to the oldies stations at times. Love when I can catch AC/DC or Meatloaf playing.

I love Keith Urban's voice, he really touches my heart! Some music I can't listen to it, such as rap or blues. But, most other music, I enjoy a variety of tunes.

For me, listening to a kind of music was to have an image I wanted to have for myself, a rocker, I wanted to be cool and tough. That is what my brother made me think about hard rock. I was young then. Pupils who were evil to me listened to one kind of music and I listened to another, to be belonged to another type of people. Today, I listen to all genres of music and I know I can learn from every thing. I don't listen so much to music now, but, I can get into the mood.

I was raised on 80s rock, I introduced my mom to modern rock, emo, screamo all that fun stuff. And yet you will hear on our playlists musicals, pop and all that fun stuff. I don't hate country, but I would not be able to listen to it all the time. Even though...Country is really just emo music just more yeehaw.
