Monday at Aruba: going to town.

Today we woke up earlier because we wanted to go to Oranjestad. At 10 am we were at the bus stop, ready to go there. The trip to Oranjestad was perfect! We went in a small van (with AC and $2 each) to the city. There we took a free small and colorful engine than took us around the small city (maybe 20 or so blocks). From there, we saw some places where we wanted to do some shopping. We went to 2 touristy places where they sell all sorts of souvenirs. I did not buy anything because all was cheaper in real shops. But Dixie bought hats that said I love Aruba for all her grandkids. We then went for lunch. We wanted to try Arubian food. It was nice but not the best I have eaten. We the went shopping. And I bought a watch for myself. I did not have one since the burglars entered my house and stole all I had. Then we went to one of those shops where they sell only white 100% cotton garments. Dixie bought a pair of bermudas, some shorts and a blouse. I bought the most beautiful pair of shorts. I never see this sort of things in my country. We came by bus, happy and ready for a nap. Humberto is playing some chess online before taking a nap and I´ll take my nap after this post. See you later, friends
