Our Little Friend

We are having a nice time here on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. We checked in late Sunday after visiting a few cousins in a small town that we passed through on the way to Biloxi.
We have nice "digs" here and the location is great. We are right across the street from the Gulf and have a nice view. It is also fairly peaceful here unless the maintenance man comes back that worked on the unit next door. He did a lot of banging yesterday and drilling.
We have a big oak tree right outside the window of the living area and we soon discovered that we had our own little friends. Two young adult squirrels have been coming out of the tree daily to play and eat acorns around the tree. The photo shows one of them who appeared to be posing for a picture.
I'll be back on MyLot on a more regular basis this weekend I hope.

Aww, isn't that just cute?
A friend of mine has a pet squirrel. They tried to let the squirrel back into the wild several times but it wouldn't have survived it. I forget the full circumstances of why though.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Awe, maybe just a change in spelling the name to Sunny. That one seems more feminine.

@kareng Yes, they are cute. They named their squirrel Sonny, and it's a girl. She can be a bit moody.

how sweet to've those lil critters to watch. ugh'n the maintenance noise though. remodelin' a bit? fixin' schtuff others've broken? who knows, hopefully tomorrow'll be more peaceful.

And we are now back home. I'll get to be the "helper" now in finishing up the project in the bathroom. Since he was working in there we decided to also change the flooring out. Whoever put it down had put loads of cement on some of the ceramic pieces of flooring and some had barely any. So it took a lot longer to pry up some pieces and project is behind schedule.

@kareng glad y'all made 't home safely, ms. karen. bummer ya couldn't be gone longer though. y'all needed a quiet diversion 'fter these many months.
oh, that'd be the troubles with remodelin' - ya ne'er know fer certain what someone prior's done! lots 'f surprises there, resultin' with much more work 'n cost than intended. don't envy ya gettin' that tended. jest keep the faith coz'll be a beaut when finished'n y'all've the satisfaction such's done proper.

We are back home today and the work is still not finished. I told the hubby we could head to Hot Springs today. Haha. He said that's okay and that he could use my help now. So, I'll be putting in my time today and until the project is finished.

She has done great here. She gets tired easily but that is expected. She thought we were going to one of the casinos but we never mentioned that and haven't said anything about it. She has never brought it up either so we just let it ride. She got tired before we made it to the pool from the Condo, so no way will she make it in the casino, even if I could drop her at the door.

@JudyEv They are just coming back around my house. When we had a litter of puppies from one of the dropped off dogs, the squirrels moved back into the woods. I am seeing them venture out now that all of the puppies and stray dogs are gone.

Sounds like everything is great with you and you even got a little visitor too! 
Hope you have a wonderful time visiting and mylotting! Me today is the first day this week, for mylotting,...been busy. Looks like the Sun came out, now and got a 40% coupon so I'm going to CVS and shop a bit before I go home. My refrigerator is a worry. Found the door a jar and it's been slow for it to get cold again, but freezer is working fine so I guess it's okay. Have you ever found when you left home you know everything was okay including the refrig door, closed to come home after a few hours, it was a jar? 
That's what happened to me. It's so frustrating when it happens.
