This is the first time to me. 2 weeks ago, I ordered a book about a dog story here in our city book store. I got a gift certificate for 10 Euro but the book I ordered costs 12.99 Euro. I just have to add money. The author of the book is not familiar to me. I have only read in the review that he is a great American writer and that this book I ordered is very good. I ordered the book in original English language that is why it takes 2 weeks to arrive. Now, the problem is, I forgot the author and the name of the book. I forgot my small piece of paper where I wrote the name of the author and the book in the shop. Anyway, I am sure, the salesgirl will give me the one I ordered. I don´t think someone here in our city ordered a book in English except me. So, did it happen to you before? I have to walk to the shop now while the weather is still good. It wasn't Marley and Me was it, by John Grogan? I've just finished reading his autobiography which was also very good.

@tech40 I think I am as long as the book is very interesting to read and a page-turner. There are books which I have not finished at all as they were boring to me.

Not the same situation but yes I also experienced forgeting names and things. For instance, a fellow encounter in the market and we're talking like we are really close, too bad I forgot his/her name. And while we are talking closely i am also remembering the name.

Oh yes. It happened to me many times when I was it the Philippines on vacation. I know the face but couldn't remember the name until later during our conversation. Weird, isn't it? Thank you @ilocosboy.

@shaggin my late mother used to say when I was a child and not concentrating to what she said, "if your vag..a is not attached to you, you already get pregnant." It was rude but now I remember what she meant being me forgetting what she asked me to do.

I ordered books while did study because we need simple method and thus only for few author we allow. We mostly remind author so not in that situation but i wish you get your book somehow to track it.

Next time keep a note book what ever the thing you write with a date .. Then you can avoid this mistake again ... i`m usually like to read about stories which are usually nice ending ones.

I keep a piece of paper for that name of the author and the name of the book but when I showed this to the German salesgirl, she didn´t give it back to me. I don´t like a book sad ending. Thank you @cool83
