I wonder how I could fit my budget for this improvement including the labor. I would like to start the minor improvement of the house tomorrow but when we look at on the materials that we will be using, it was quite a surprised to see how each individual material priced. I should have an extra cash before to begin this improvement.

Thanks for some words of encouragement Ms. D. Yes, I now experience that it's not that easy as ABC.

It is usually costly to make an improvement in the house. You better write down first what you need and calculate how much money you need to buy the materials.

there's been a lot of "construction" here due to the sidewalk ban. one carinderia had to move back their stall twice so it's much smaller now. one house had to remove their outer gate. one vegetable seller and one shoes and bag repair shop might have to move elsewhere. i feel bad for them.

Good thing that they're not displace. Although, it's a hassle to them because they're already in place and now need to move back a bit.

Prices have really increase since 2011 when we had built our commercial space. Now, building a cement roof would probably take more than 200k, something we don't have.

And even those wood materials are also priced higher.

Yes...any rennovation always leaves a big hole in the pocket. So it is always better to be prepared from the beginning

I agree. I thought that with that minor improvement and minimal budget, I can fit it but the reality seem far a distance from what I thought. Lesson learned.

There should always be a plan to do that so that the project would be completed.

That's right. We can't just jump without having to write down anything.

The most important thing is not to rush, personally what I do is gather all the materials first according to the plan, that's the first phase. The second phase is the actual construction, you see there is a time gap enough while I make more money, I also do the things that I can do myaelf to minimize labor cost Lastly I see to it that I have backup funds because unexpected expenditures are sure to prop up once it starts. Good luck to you.
