Dimples and blowflies

I have two dimples which I never think about or notice unless someone remarks on them. Mostly, they seem to think they’re ‘cute’ which is nice, I guess. Better than saying they look awful.
Anyway, I googled dimples and it seems they occur only in people where the zygomaticus major muscle in the cheek divides into two separate bundles on its way from a bone in the cheek down to the mouth. Movement over the skin on the muscles causes the dimple to form. Apparently 37% of the population has dimples.
And as regards the blowflies in the title: Vince just informed me that he sprayed a blowfly in the kitchen. However, it was on the outside of the house on the other side of the window. I love it when someone other than me does something silly.
Rather than show a photo of my dimples, here is yesterday’s roo photo. It’s nice that I’m able to take these without even getting off the lounge.

They often seem to get a itch and will suddenly get up and scratch like mad. There are kangaroo ticks in the bush so perhaps those bite occasionally. They bring their hind toe up to scratch their ear sometimes, like horses do. I must try to get a photo of that one day. I think some of it is grooming as well.
We'd have a lot to talk about, wouldn't we?

@crazyhorseladycx I feel sure the roos do a certain amount of grooming too although most seems to be in the way of scratching and nibbling at themselves. We have chiggers in the bush too which affect Vin and me from time to time so maybe these affect the roos too.

@LadyDuck Yes, definitely. I often start a conversation and Vince will say he was just thinking that subject but probably it's something around that has triggered a memory or thought. After all, we, like you, have been together for many more years than we've been apart. And I'm glad in a way that we're both getting a little deaf. I'm sure I wouldn't have as much patience if I didn't know what it was like from my own point of view.

It's nice to know you're part of the 37%. I think dimples are cute and make a person's face more beautiful than it already is. I don't have dimples. I'm just a plain jane. I do have a widow's peak though.
I love the roo picture.

So sad I don't belong to the 37 percent of the population who have dimples, or even just a dimple.

Yes, when I was still young. Not anymore, I'm old now for this thing.

This is somewhat like my story.
I also have dimples on both my cheeks and I know it is due to a muscle problem that dimples are made but whatever happens to me these two dimples look so beautiful and I am praised for this

Really? I didn't see it. Sometimes two posts come up on subjects that aren't particularly common. Maybe it's all ESP or something.

No, they don't bite but they 'blow' (lay eggs on) any food that might be around.

I should think you'd have been told before now if you did.

I fully agree, do you also think that we become similar after many years of marriage?

I'm sure the blowfly went flying off to tell all his mates 'cause they came hanging round the door to have a look at him.
