something I miss from the past

When my father was alive, and they owned the last house they lived in together (my parents) we used to go in September and make Apple Cider. I miss that. This is a picture of a cider press. Have you ever used a cider press?

No, but two weeks ago, I was treated to a couple of glasses of fresh cider pressed by one of the Park Rangers I work with. Loved it.
