Keeping costs low when traveling

In Europe we had quite a few budget airlines like Easy Jet from England and Ryan Air from Ireland. On one trip we flew from London to Stockholm on Ryan Air and we came home from Riga on Air Baltic. I am keen to try out flying on Wizz Air because it has an impressive route map. Airlines like these charge for checked luggage so I like to travel with just hand luggage. Lately I have flown on some long distance budget airlines like Air Asia and Scoot Airlines. Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia is the cheapest place for flights it would seem. How much luggage do you take on a trip? Have you any suggestions for lower cost traveling?

Yes, China is a very large country so it is an excellent idea to take domestic flights. There is a way for me to visit China if I fly there from one country and then off to a different country for example London-Beijing-Hong Kong.

Maybe you could consider going on a plane in the future. I have traveled on some trains in the USA and they were memorable.

I try to pack sparingly, only a carry on. And I usually bring clothes I don’t like so I can leave them behind. Haha. I never check bags.

Well done for never checking bags. One time Easy Jet said we had too much luggage so I put our towels round my neck.

I take 1 bag and 1 carry-on. I like to eat in the local places instead of fancy restaurants to help keep the food budget down.

Eating in the local places is a wonderful idea. I was surprised how expensive food is at London Airports and at the Euro Star train terminal. It is sensible to take just one bag and a carry on.
