"50 First Dates" is a romantic comedy released in 2004.
Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) is a veterinarian at Sea Life Park in Oahu, Hawaii. Henry likes to have extremely short-term relationships with the female tourists and then forget about them when they go home...until he meets Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore).
One day he sees Lucy at the Hukilau Cafe. He figures that she's a local; and since he doesn't want to get into a relationship with someone from the island, he doesn't go over to her...but he returns the next day. Henry introduces himself and he and Lucy get along quite well; and she asks him to meet her again the next morning...but Lucy has no memory of the previous day.
Sue (Amy Hill), the restaurant owner, explains to him that she and her father were in a serious car accident last year and Lucy cannot form any new memories due to a head injury. She wakes up every day thinking that it's Sunday, October 13 (her father's birthday), a year ago.
Lucy's father, Marlin (Blake Clark), and her brother, Doug (Sean Astin), have been re-enacting October 13 for a year so that Lucy doesn't have to go through the trauma of realizing that she can't form new memories and that she has lost a year of her life.
Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have a natural chemistry onscreen and complement each other. "50 First Dates" is funny; but it also has a lot of romance. I've watched this movie at least a half-dozen times. It's one of my "go-to" movies when there's nothing else on television. However, it does have its flaws. For some reason there are many movies that rely on crude humor for laughs. This movie, unfortunately has some crude humor in addition to some drug references, thus giving it the PG-13 rating. The majority of this movie, however, is worthy of a "thumbs up" from me. If you'd like to find out what eventually happens between Henry and Lucy, I suggest that you give this movie a try.
This movie is rated PG-13.

Seen it a few times and liked it. I love the funny song he sings to her.

Oh, I love Sandler movies. This sounds like a lot of fun. I will see if I can find the movie online.

@andriaperry I don't know why...He doesn't like Steve Carell for the part that he played in The Office; and he doesn't like Will Ferrell or Ben Stiller.

I liked this movie, although I never really was a fan of Drew Barrymore. Great review!
