1888 - The first issue of National Geographic Magazine is published.
1943 - Toni Basil was born. She is an American singer, actress, choreographer, dancer and filmmaker. She is best known for her worldwide multi-million-selling hit "Mickey".
1960 - Scott Baio was born. He is an American actor and television director. He is best known for his role as Chachi on Happy Days (1977-1984) and Charles in Charge (1984-1990). Happy Days (see below) also starred Ron Howard and Henry Winkler as "The Fonz".
