Repentance to Recovery

Lies, lies are everywhere.
This could be a terrible challenge for everyone of us especially those who are a hardened liars. They set a voluminous records of lying. Nobody could believe them if they do telling the truth.
Are you not reminded of the children's story of the boy who cries wolf. Because of his attitude of telling a lie, the people in the village won't believe him anynore even he is telling the truth. He had fooled the people several times and the alert people responded right away. He used to make fun of those people. But he had his own turn not to be believed anymore though his sheeps were being attacked and devoured by the wolf. So he was sorry.
But there is still a big chance for him to turn those lies to leis. What I mean here of "lies to leis" is those misdeeds could be remedied and could be worth emulated. Lies are misleading, the untruth. Leis are tokens or symbols of respect, recognition, honor and accomplishment.
Do you know any person who has changed his bad attitude and he became the good example to others?
The secret of this challenge is repentance to recovery. What do you think?

Can we tell the Gibeon as the example of this? Remember when they went to Joshua and pretended they were from distant place.

You're right. It's not easy to tell the truth but it's possible.

That story is famous all other the world and here we just tell a tiger in place of a wolf but moral is same as if anyone lies people will not believe even they say the truth and that person will suffer from it. They become good when they face many issues by what they did damage but they have to prove themselves as people not ready to believe him. Some of the person seen who changed because they have not other option.

I was an habitual liar--a convincing one--for the first 32 years of my life and when I realized that I had everything I wanted/needed and was still lying I knew it was time for therapy--I can honestly say that I have not TOLD a lie the last 50 years except by omission to prevent hurting someone.
Lying takes a lot of work--if nothing else you have to remember the lies you told and when found out come up with another lie to cover for it. Telling the truth isn't always easy but it leaves space in your mind for other, what may be, important things.

That's wonderful. You did it right. You've chosen what right and the consequence will follow.

I love truth. The optics and evidences of truth always speak for themselves, if exposed in the light. Our job is to research and validate the evidences for ourselves. Reject going with the maintream group-think flow.
