Death is one of life's greatest Taboos. It is therefore refreshing to find a website that discusses death, decay, embalming, cremation, grief, the work of funeral homes, ideal cremation oven temperatures and more, candidly and honestly, with good macabre humour. - Considering burial at sea? This site explains it in detail.
Caitlin Doughty offers one of the best sites to learn all kinds of historic deaths, from the Salem witch trial hangings to the fate of bodies recovered and not recovered after the Titanic sank.
On the site page here, Caitlin explains the kind of death that frightens even her. If you find such topics creepy or morbid, don't read on.

Not a place I would relish to visit at all and the poor women of Salem and others over here that suffered the same fate is not something I like to even think of.
