First full day of babysitting since my surgery

My sister dropped my niece off earlier this morning about 7:15 am. She wasn’t really fully awake so she was crying in her mamas arms. Her mom asked her if she wanted to use my tablet to watch YouTube and as soon as I gave it to her she stopped crying.
She was watching videos of some little girl Adley. It seemed really boring to me but she loved them. I got a bright idea to see if I could download the YouTube app to my smartTv and it worked. Then she could watch the videos on the tv while I used my tablet.
At some point during the day she was crying again and my dog didn’t know what to do. Sometimes when she comes inside from being walked on the leash and after her baths she runs through the house as fast as she can go for a few minutes. It’s really funny. Well when my niece was crying that’s what she started doing.
We colored, I drew dots for her to connect to learn to draw shapes, we did a sticker book and she helped me make a new recipe for “Strawberry butter”. It was yummy on toast but she didn’t want to try any. My daughter had some with dinner and liked it. You can see it in the photo I posted.
My son came home from school today and was happy. He had taken a drawing in to school today to show his teacher and a classmate saw it and called a bunch of his friends over to see it. He got lots of compliments on it today even though no one had a clue what the video game it was that he drew the character from.
I watched one movie on Netflix today “Tallulah”. I didn’t really care for it.
A package from Walmart arrived today that had a 3 boxes of tissues and chocolate Nesquick.
I made a big order on Walmart grocery for things we are out of but then it said that it isn’t deliverable to my house. Walmart’s website doesn’t have as many options for what I need so my grocery list for when I get there in person in a few weeks is getting really long. I ordered a water filter, gummy vitamins, paper plates and a few others things tonight.

@Tina30219 simple ones are fun and easy to make right now when I have to keep my foot elevated

@shaggin I like those kind of recipes that only have 2 to 3 ingredients.

@snowy22315 I was going to get a job but my sister kept asking me to babysit her daughter. After the toe is fully healed I will be watching another little girl too. It's only due to the foot having to be kept elevated that I am so bored. I'm never this inactive.

@shaggin Maybe you could look for a PT job to keep you busy during school hours??

@LadyDuck I think it looks gross but it was quite good. My daughter asked for toast this morning and I asked if she wanted the strawberry butter. She said yes so I made it then she said she didn't want that she meant regular butter then sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. So I made her that then for lunch ate the toast with strawberry butter and the gross carrot oatmeal.

@CookieMonster46 nah she's a really good kid. She just wasn't fully awake and the second time she cried I don't remember what it was about.

I have used the Walmart app to order items to have them delivered to my home. When I was working I worried that someone would take the packages. So, if I really needed something I would venture to the store and battle the masses.

@shaggin what about a personal shopper? Some places offer this service for a minimal cost. One of my friends performs this service and I guess the business is picking up.

@ElusiveButterfly I wouldn't get the free shipping that way and I live 30+ minutes from Walmart.

@ElusiveButterfly Nothing here has ever been stolen off my porch thankfully. I wish I could go get my own groceries it's driving me nuts having to sit around with my foot elevated. Some things they can deliver here but others they don't I'm not sure why. Really are out if strawberry oatmeal and my son doesn't like much else for breakfast.

Who was Tallulah?? Was it about Tallulah Bankhead? I saw a play about her and am just wondering if it was the same actress or is this a completely different movie?

@GreatMartin Tallulah was just the name of the character in the movie. In the movie the girl said she was named after a bar that her mother went to.

It's good that Walmart is doing deliveries. I wish supermarkets here will do the same.

@Alexandoy it really is a blessing right now to have this service since I can’t get out to go shopping until my foot is fully healed. I just wish I could get more items shipped to me that I need.

@TiarasOceanView it was yummy. I need to make some things to eat it on like pancakes. Seeing that it has strawberries in it and no preservatives in it I'm not sure how long it will last in the fridge.

That Strawberry Butter looks delicious, atleast now that I know what it is. At first I have to admit that I wasn't sure what it was.
I hope your shopping list won't end up being too long!

@shaggin when I first saw it I thought it might be a different type of cole slaw. My second guess was a weird pimento cheese.

@Courtlynn I wouldn't have offered it to her to help her stop crying but that's what her mother suggested. I don't like to watch to much tv here with her I like to keep her busy doing other stuff.
