Meet my Best Friend, Robin

My best friend and I are very similar. We both love the same things (mostly) and enjoy each other’s company. Our husbands are best friends, too.
We met at a mutual friend’s party over 14 years ago and hit it off immediately. We both love large homes, beautiful cars, jewelry, designer clothes, shoes, and handbags, shopping, live theater, spas, exercise, travel, and dining out.
She lives between my house and our younger son’s house.
We often go out with her and her husband on weekends, and this past summer started getting together during the week. It began with our weekly picnics and concerts on our Town Green in July, and we decided to keep it up the rest of our time in Connecticut.
The photo shows us at last week’s get together. Tonight, we are all going out for drinks and an appetizer at a tapas restaurant, then back to their home for dinner and dessert.
We won’t miss them too much when we leave for Florida for six months, because they also have a condo in Florida and visit every few months.

@DianneN - Yes, I think it is nice to have close friends who share our interests in values. I have a couple of women whom I could call my "Best friends." I walk and talk with one woman virtually every single day, unless one of us is out-of-town. Our husbands both have kidney disease, so we eat out together sometimes as couples, since our husbands are on the same, restrictive diet. Here we are getting community awards for the number of miles we have walked!

Friends are so important and it's so great to have someone you can confide in and do things with in your life. Yes I do have a few close friends that mean a lot to me.

i have a few besties you two look like sisters you sure she is not your twin you all look so much alike has anyone ever told you that she could be your twin for real.When you find someone who is like minded and of kindred spirits they are a keeper.

The two of you look almost like sisters, It is good to have such close friends, I am living above my best friend and her family, The two of us grew up together and have been friends since grade school, That is why I agreed to take the apartment right above her's here in Florida because I had nowhere else to go, However, with age she is find in every way but has some psychological issues so most of the time I am all alone because she cannot leave her house, When we do get together it is like time has stood still,

Two very sweet ladies, with joy written all over their face! Yes, a best friend is a must, no matter what we're facing in our life. Someone special we can share our hurts with, knowing that she will never repeat it to others. Trust is the main ingredient, in a friendship bond
