Well, no, not really.
Today I would have been married for 11 years had I not gotten divorced two years into it.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not sad. I haven't been sad about it for awhile. In fact, it was the best thing the man could have done for me.
I don't think about it every year, but some years I happen to look at the date and go "Oh, well I was getting married at about 3 pm X number of years ago now."
What am I doing to celebrate?
The laundry, unloading the dishwasher, cleaning the bathroom...
I might have a beer later though.

@shaggin Thank you but there is no need. It has been many years since we were married and I am over it for the most part. I am more weary when dating and do not date as often, but I am very happy with being single.

He was an emotionally abusive, cheating donkey's behind.

Exactly. Life is full of little hiccups but it goes on.

Exactly! That's a good way to look at it. Thank You as I hadn't thought of it that way.

I don't think you can help but think about that now and then. I know I think about mine every once in a while I think this year coming up would have been 25th for me but it only lasted 8. It also was good for both of us and we are still friendly towards each other and even get together for family cookouts at least once a summer with the kids and grandkids. Yep I know, a little weird but it works for us.

I don't think that's weird. It's good that you can still be friends. Especially after all these years.
My sister and brother in law are divorced, live separately but do everything together. I just got done dogsitting for them as they were on vacation together.

@Bensen32 I think they do it for the kids, but I also think that my sister just needed to divorce to feel free. My grandfather was telling us how he did taxes for someone who did something similar. They lived together, had been married but got divorced. They were still a couple, and still lived together, but the divorce made things simpler. I guess because they divided their finances and took the biggest stresser out of the relationship.
