Roasted Red Potatoes for Dinner

Potatoes are a favorite of mine. You can fix them so many different ways. Tonight I am having roasted red potatoes. I love the little red potatoes. I can eat them just boiled with butter.
Another way is to cube them, brown them just a little in a sauce or frying pan.
I like to make a little gravy, I use butter, another unhealthy favorite. But when you don't eat a lot, you eat what you can.
Added parsley, salt and a little pepper. Had a slice of bread on the side. Called it dinner.

Yummy. I am not a big fan of red potatoes but they are okay. I love potatoes though.
I once ate a slice of raw potato in front of a friend who gave me a look as if she had never met me. We had been friends for about 17 years and in that time she had never seen me eat a raw potato.

@CarolDM I do not believe I've ever had them fresh from a person's garden. I used to hang in the kitchen while my grandmother was cutting the potatoes. I'd grab a slice, put some pepper on it and it was a perfect treat. Pretty sure she used to get more potatoes than was necessary just for that purpose.
Have you ever had potatoes in flour roux? I call it "syrupy potatoes" and it's my favorite.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We would dig them up from the dirt. Loved it. I have fried potatoes, sliced round, in flour.

I like Red potatoes a lot. I like eating them boiled with butter too. I also don't mind eating any leftover cold right out of the fridge.

This reminds me of my lovely Aunt, who ate potatoes every day of her life! She loved potatoes and so do I, especially the little red potatoes they are wonderful:) Enjoy!

sounds yummy to me :) quite fond 't those red taters, can't seem to get any 'round these parts that aint 'lready ruined? aint sure 's to why that'd be. seems tater 'nly last 'bout a week these days. i'm thinkin' to jest grow my own'n tubs here next year. 'd take too much water'n the ground.
