Being Dissed by Brendel Today

Have been gone a lot this week with things to get done. Both of my cats like for me to be home. And I do as well. But sometimes I have to leave. Most of the time they are sleeping. Cat napping at least. And I am not sure if they even know when I leave. Today when a got back from grocery shopping, I opened the cat door and both cats went into the screen room. I just went out to see what they were doing. Brendel dissed me. She kept her back to me. Punishment for leaving so much this week I suppose. But that is how cats are. Everything is about them. And I have spoiled mine. She will be fine. Just keep the camera away, she said. Do you have a pet that ignores you when you leave then return home? Kind of funny. Like having children.

When I was a kid, I had a cat that would walk with me to the bus stop every morning, and then he would be waiting at the bus stop every afternoon when I got home from school. That cat was the most awesome cat I ever had!

@CarolDM That cat ws like "one of the guys." When all of us kids in the neighborhood would grab our fishing gear and head out to the lake to fish, the cat would come with us. He would help us with any fish we caught! lol

@JohnRoberts Because she knows I could always throw her back outside and winter is getting close.

How do you know that Pretty isn't just a spy for the critter camp?

One good plus is that at least they didn't pee on your bed as punishment @CarolDM .

@CarolDM Mine have never used the bed but if they're really ticked off at me, they'll pee and poo right NEXT to the litter box.

Bella is just the opposite. She is used to me being home. When I leave and come back, she goes crazy. She makes all types of crazy sounds, nothing like a normal dog.

@CarolDM I have had cats. They get mad when you leave them. She will forgive you and let you pet her soon. Open a can of cat food that always works.

The cat I have here is very independent. He doesn't come running when I get home unlike my beloved Sandy who LOVED me.

@CarolDM Striper is friendly enough and snuggles up with me in bed but he isn't nearly as demonstrative as Sandy.

@CarolDM Well we get to spend time with my mom's dog, and my grandparents dogs almost daily. A cat might be nice though. We don't want to pay the 300 pet fee though!

She definitely seems to be having a CATtitude. You know I do not have any pets. I did petsit for a little less than a month once. I was at my friend's house every day all day and one of her cats decided that I was her new human. She would sit next to me and read with me. It took a week or more for her to warm back up to her actual human.

@CarolDM She wants you to feel bad for leaving her. Most cats think they are the king or queen of their domain.

yes ma'am, the horses 're prone to such. the resident cat used to be that way, but now turns to velcro 'long with the pups. kinda funny ya wrote such 's these 'd be jest like that. can't e'en get to the loo without 'em.

@CarolDM yes ma'am, they e'en do such when i'm not able to be out with 'em. we sorta lost our 'bond' with the years that such 'twas not possible. i figure such'd be due to the fact the hubs did nothin' but throw 'em hay 'n water.... thankfully i've still patience with critters (humans? not so much...) 'n 've been workin' to regain such this past year. yepperz, nothin' like a 1,000 lb. critter with a temper tantrum, lol.

Yes, Kobe punishes me(his concept) when I leave him alone, for what he considers too long. He pouts, refuses to kiss my hand, and acts like I'm invisible. He will look past me into the distance, like something else has absorbed his attention. When he does this, I bump his butt with my shoe! Then Kobe immediately jumps at me, as he does when I first get home

I got my moggie from our local shelter and she had been living wild for a time. I get the impression she quite liked it as she is much more independent then Mr B and little K. She seems quite happy ignoring me!

@CarolDM I always feel bad when I have to leave my cat. When she gets angry at me she either bites me or tries to. They do not understand that we have to go out or that we have to work to make money for us. I try to explain that to my cat but she does not understand it.

Back in Latvia since Sid preferred my late husband to me and there were times he went on trips after he returned Sid would keep walking away from him until he finally settled down and accepted the fact that his pal had returned and then he could not get enough of roughhousing with him, That always ended the feud,
