Trying Google Translate

So, I am trying to translate my Filipino Poetry into English and tried Google Translate and another Translator app. The result (though it hits some part of the poem) needs a lot of fixing to be able to understand... Have you tried using a Translator application?

Some are very bad. But a lot of the problem is the way English is spoken compared to other languages.

@wolfgirl569 NO, English is not the problem, just for fun I translated from Italian to French (Italian is my language, I spoke French during 31 years in France), the translations are HORRIBLE!

@LadyDuck I know hubby asked someone one time from Mexico ho they say Wildfire. The guy told him that their way of saying it would be The fire is wild. Still the same meaning but can throw those translators off

Yes, my friend. Nonetheless, it is helpful to give us an idea.

I think it is different with regards to poetry but in the case of a sentence it might work better.

The translated text is not very accurate but understandable.

I have tried a site called Cha Cha.com which I use to translate Spanish to English so I can better understand the comic works of the late Mexican comedian Roberto Gomez Bolanos aka Chespirito.

consider the translation as a rough draft, like a cake without the icing.

I agree that there is no perfect translator app but at least it helps us understand a bit or help us to translate in a way by giving us some idea.
