Back home at last. The plane was delayed.

I just read one of Coral´s posts (@TheSojourner) and for other reasons I decided that I would have to forget about this trip back before I took a plane again. My legs were swollen, but after Coral left they became even more swollen. I was alone, waiting for my flight, and I decided to spend some of my time and money at the casino. Slot machines and swollen feet don´t go well together

When I reached the airport at Aruba, a very nice lady at the Avianca desk saw my feet and changed my seat to much better ones. But What she did not know was that I had my laptop with me and that I would add much more weight in Bogota. The Duty free shop there had an offer of 2 liter bottles of Jack Daniels for $50. The plane was then very delayed and the gave us a voucher to eat the worst combo I had eaten in decades (and even had to pay an extra). I finally got in my last plane to Santiago at over 1:00 am.

I have so many things to tell. But first, I´ll take a nap. Let´s hope my feet are less swollen. See you.

I posted today the horrors of my delayed plane. But I was treated awesome by the shocked attendants that saw my feet and I was taken in a special cart from the plane to the baggage claim department.

I am very sorry for your swollen leg. I am happy that the airline gave you a much better seat. I see that you traveled via Bogota. We arrived in 2011 after much fog at London's Airport. That lovely airline had flown us all the way to Colombia. I hope that you see Coral again in the future.

I hope the swelling goes down, when you are awake tell us more. Elevate the feet high, about the heart, it may help.
