My telephone service which also is my source for internet connection has finally been restored. I noticed the past week’s has been having a patchy connection. When I reported it to my telephone customer service I discovered that my phone wasn’t working too the plunger isn’t working anymore and hangs on even if i put the phone down. I think that affected my modem causing intermittent connection. I could not use the phone else my net will be disconnected. I used other means like contacting them via messenger. They were quick to respond and makes follow up on me. Today they replaced my phone and modem and everything is working smoothly. Maybe next time I will use the messenger to send them feedback on their service.

They better do good service now that a third Telco is coming into our country
PLDT just messaged me this morning to " give me a speed boost for me and my family to enjoy just for being with them"

Oh that is good news for you. I am also asking for that since my plan has increased in speed already but so far I am receiving the same old speed in my plan. I requested for them to adjust the speed but they told me they will do so in time since they do that by batches. So I am waiting for them to do it soon. I think the third telco that is coming will not delve on landline anymore but more on the cellular technology. Landlines are slowly fading out of the scene already since they are very capital intensive than that of the cellular since you only invest on towers less the cables and the post you need to put in place.

@louievill I agree I seldom use the phone anymore at home since we can used the mobile phones much more frequent and faster than the old telephone. They cannot remove that since they have a congressional franchise that they are responsible to provide a landline telephone service. In fairness to the landlines they are still pretty useful for business to be easily contacted thru their landlines.

@rsa101 land lines are obsolete, PLDT just forces it down our throats haha.. to squeeze us some more since they already have lines in place, to be fair I think cabled is more stable than wireless but they should remove the phone and take it out of our bill.

@rsa101 ugh, i'm so sick 'f those call centers, the need fer sendin' emails - no real folks 't the places 'f business who truly've any idea what'd be goin' 'wry. e'en many 'f the doc's offices here'll not pick'p a phone. ya go through a series 'f prompts, leave a message'n they might get back with ya 'fore the week 'tis done.

Good thing that it is already fixed and you use it for internet connection.

Yeah I think the messenger was the faster way to be heard by them. I used their phone CS and it sucked since the coordination between their field personnel and the Cs did jibe at all. In here when I submitted my report online they acted on it and even followed me up so I was glad that they were monitoring my complaint.
