My song selection is a lovely song called “Poems, Prayers, and Promises” by John Denver. It was recorded in 1971 on an album with two more popular songs that came out as singles “Sunshine On My Shoulders” and “Take Me Home Country Roads”.
I write poems and say my prayers every day and I have made some promises to myself to improve my life.

I haven't heard the song... "Leaving on a jet plane" is his trademark... I like also his song "Annies Song."

It was funny to see John Denver because this past weekend my friend Irene and I were singing Country Road take me home in the car.

John Denver's Rocky Mountain High always gets to me. He sings it with such emotion on that one you just have to sing along. That song is one of the official State songs of Colorado. He was a force in the folk-rock scene in the 70's.
