Two down. One more to go?

Two days ago, the microwave stopped working. It was not a silent good by, but the lights of the whole house went down. We unplugged it and turned the lights on again. Today, my wonderful Oster water heater finished its useful life. It was also a big departure. There was noise and flames. Fortunately, Leticia was there and unplugged the culprit. I will have to buy another heater, but I´m not sure if I will buy a microwave oven. The thing is, will there be another problem in the kitchen soon? They say the bad things happen 3 by 3. Do you have these beliefs? Would you buy another microwave oven?

I do cause it always does seem to happen in three. We had our microwave, our toaster and our coffee maker all go one after another.

It is irritating to see that I will have to spend a lot of money in all that. I will have to choose where to begin with.

I'd buy another microwave. Things do seem to happen in threes; but I think it's coincidence. Sorry you've had all these problems.

I will have to think about priorities. I just spent some money on vacations.

@marguicha If you don't use the microwave that often, it can wait.

both appliances certainly left with a big bang! hahaha! but seriously i'm glad no one was hurt and no damage. maybe you can ask daniel if he will use the microwave a lot. maybe he can share in the cost of buying one?

I will ask his mother (my daughter when she comes back from her holidays. She told me that Daniel had not much money and I know that his father is paying for his studies. So I think that Tania should help, not with the oven but with some money every month.

@marguicha i agree, and i hope she does. any addition to the household, even if it's a pet, will always impact expenses - water, electricity, food, cleaning supplies, etc

Nothing is too expensive. But still, I don´t like to spend extra money, specially after the holidays.
