See I Can Believe This

I was actually just thinking this. What did happen to Trombley? I am not sure but someone was able to get his take.
I mean they call it Generation Kill for a reason and think the reason is Trombley. He had a medium, maybe small role in comparison to whole series, but he is always in the key points.
I wonder what it is like for him now that his story is out there? How people look at him. Do they say, oh you that crazy kid from Generation Kill, but again if you watch the show he is not a total psycho. He is off. but I do not think it is because he wants to just randomly hurt people. That to me is the scariest psycho. Trombley shows remorse in some scenes even though he was ordered.
He also seems to take note from Ray who is his biggest critic, maybe he has a point. Sgt Colbert tells Ray at one point you actually need to be more like Trombley in some areas and Ray throws a fit. Trombley absorbs all of that and to me tried to do better. All you can ask. Why his words here make sense and can believe it.
"I actually got in touch with the real James Trombley. He was understandably a bit reluctant to talk about Generation Kill but this was what he had to say to me about it:
"It definitely had the "Hollywood magic dust" on it. But it wasn't too bad. Worse part is it is taken out of context. Its like you wouldn't talk to your mom the same way you talk to your drinking buddies. So everyone got to see how we talk to our drinking buddies. All in all the events are pretty accurate. In some case the "quotes" were a bit messed up or even said by the wrong person. But I didn't expect much because the writer who sat next to me was always hiding on the floor of the humvee and he didn't see much. I had no part in the show. No interviews or interactions. I distanced myself from it. Im not much into talking about me and my history. Maybe someday." - Michael Akkerman is the person who claims he talked to real Trombley.

That is Generation Kill about when they first went into Iraq. Marine Recon. Funny Marine page shows full Metal jacket and Jarhead movie clips all day but never show this one. Its the one that has the most realistic viewpoints. because its based on true events.
This clip sums the mindset up of whole show.
