Different generations have different ways of solving problems.

Las Monday, when I went to the supermarket, I went to a shop specialized on physical problems to buy some socks that would help me when my feet got swollen.
I did not check in the moment what the seller was giving me, so when I got home and opened the box I discovered that the socks were so small that they could only fit my youngest granddaughter.
Daniel offered to take me (he has one of the cars his father has) and I started to look at the receipt. It was nowhere although I had placed it in my purse.
I was worried because some people would not make a change without a proof of purchase. So I started to fight with the printer so that I could print the Bank paper where it said that I had bought it. Daniel asked me what was I doing and he said "easy" and did it in 2 minutes. I was amazed and felt very dumb until we came back home and concocted a delicious meal in less than 10 minutes. He was clearly awed and I thought that maybe each generation has its own good points.
Old people still have some special knowledge!

@marguicha I still know a lot more than my niece about computers, but she knows more about smartphones, this is something I really do not care to learn.

@marguicha We bought our first computers (2 Apple II) in 1979. My husband loved and he asked to be a beta tester and computer programmer for Apple. Later he used to built his own personal computers and I have always helped him. I know a bit of computer programming, but it is not something exciting for me.

Sometimes I think that the latest, greatest is very over rated. Some technology is good but I believe that the society in general is being bombarded with gadgets.
I like my computer for the things that I do, ( like myLot - LOL ), my cell phone has it's good points as does the tv.
For the most part, though, I prefer old school. Too much technology spoils the brain cells.

I rewarded him first at the mall where I changed the socks. There´s a place where they sell delicious chocolates and I bought one for him and one for me.

I used to like to read and write more than cooking. Now I am more interested in pampering the people I love.

I am sure that each generation has their expertise and skills. The good point is that you both appreciated each other.

I simply cannot do it. Every time I learn something, they change the software. They say it is more friendly, but I don´t want to play hide and seek there

What amazes me most is their complete lack of knowledge of history. One would think that they landed from a space ship.

I suppose that if I hadn´t some line of expertise, he would try to avoid me instead of wanting to talk to me.

I´d say "how to solve some things". I was a woman at 18 and my husband was a man at 24. We knew what we wanted and we were working to get it.
