Wednesday 2nd October - Shopping, getting in enough food for about two weeks. Thursday 3rd - National Poetry Day and I took part in a lovely open mic poetry how, at which we had a buffet and free wine too. I sold some copies of my book there a well. Yay. Friday 4th - Welfare day and they were happy as I have some work lined up for Mid-November but I am still expected to job search and prove it at my next hearing on 1st November.. Very little for the the rest of the week, apart from job searching, writing, reading, and moaning about how cold it is this month. Thursday 10th October - got a copy of a new criminal records check form, proving I have no criminal record, useful for showing employers when I go to job interviews. Arthur Chappell

My diary would be so similar to yours if I hadn“t call it quits at some time in my life. I congratulate you!

@arthurchappell So some say. But, as I told my grandson last night (he is the kind of person you can talk to) I have been terrified for too long a time about the moment when some poetry and books will no longer be read and will be erased from the minds of people. How many people in England still read Fielding“s Tom Jones? How many people in Spanish speaking countries have heard of the poets Jorge Manrique and Cesar Vallejo?

@marguicha yes many great classics will get forgotten until we hear, Whose Hemmingway? Never heard of him.

I'm glad you sold some books! Double yay! We're getting perfect fall weather now. 70-75 and sunny. It will change in the next few days to the 50s.
