Born in 1951, Christopher Cross is an American singer and songwriter who received 7 Grammy nominations with a total of 5 wins for his debut album, "Christopher Cross" which was released in 1979. Arthur's Theme is one of my favorite Cross tunes along with Sailing, Ride Like the Wind and Never Be the Same.
Arthur's Theme won an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1982.
He is the only artist in Grammy history to win Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Unfortunately his adult contemporary/soft pop rock style was out of favor quite soon with the changing musical climate.
Enjoy!

They should ask me if artists or music styles are out of favor. I'll straighten them out.
HAA!
I play the synthesizer and I sing. All of the cover tunes I play start from the 1990's and then go back from there. I haven't gotten into anything after the decade of the 90's.
Today's musical climate isn't for me at all.
Thank's for the youtube clip. I may have to add this one to my repertoire.

I find very little that I like in current music genres.

@LindaOHio I know, me too. I can't turn it off or otherwise get away from it fast enough.

Thanks for the memory! I haven't heard him in many years.
