Don't worry be happy...

I know a lot of people here are very positive about life. I am trying to inject positivity too but I simply cannot due to routine instances that keep my moon of positivity hiding from a very dark cloud. My son Marick was again stricken by asthma been four days already that we are giving him his smokes but it seems the one he is taking is not curing him. I had left this morning with a worrying heart because he is not still in good shape. I hope Marick will be better today and will be totally asthma-free tomorrow... By only then I will be happy, by only then I will stop worrying...

@simplfred Do you or your wife have asthma, or one of your parents?

Anyway I am not perfect in practicing a positive disposition daily. I also worry and like you struggles to be in the positive side of things. But one thing I always remember is that worrying won't help you solve your problems. Taking a positive action can help and ultimately being happy with what you have in life will be the start of making a happy or positive light in your day. When you get home seeing all the negative things around them, your worries will not help them get out of their situation. But doing positive action like helping them feel better by making them relax perhaps or bringing them to doctor for help might help you ease their problems and yours too.

I agree with what you've stated but actually we've already been to this kind of situation for many months now. We've been to many doctors and even "Albularyos"... I just don't know what action to do next... Seeing my kid like that always breaks my heart...

@simplfred That is true, but when you start to worry you start to give up hope since there is no hope in worrying forever. I cannot give you concrete steps to what you should do since I am not in your shoes but I can only advise you to focus on hope than in desperation, faith than in unbelief. For if you lose that positivism in your life things will get even worst and worst.

"we are giving him his smokes" What does this mean?
I have heard that asthma is aggravated by some foods we eat. Have you heard that?

@simplfred What is good to do is to take some common allergens and remove them one at a time to see if one or many of them are aggravating the problem.
If you have asthma, you might already know what triggers your attacks. Cats? Pollen? French fries? Yes, there are some foods that cause asthma attacks, or at least could make your asthma worse. Read on to find out if something you're eating could be eating

I mean smoking him with medicine via nebulizer... Yeah, I've heard about that but we haven't found what really triggers it until now...

@1hopefulman Thanks for the links, my friend... I've read a bit and there's quite many things that can trigger it...

Honestly, until now, we don't know... I've asked my wife to observe him but she seems to don't notice what until now.

@Nakitakona Yesterday, my wife brought him again to his doctor and the doctor changes his medication. I just hope he will be okay as soon as possible...

@simplfred That's not good. It may be an allergy or emotional in nature. Why not have your child be diagnosed by a doctor?

Asthma is a torment to children. My first nephew had that and it was a pitiful sight to see him when there is asthma attack.

Very true... Many people saying that when he grows up, the asthma might stop or will just happen very rarely... I just hope such a talk will be true in the case of my son... It happens monthly or even in less than a month...

I hope Marick would be fine soon; it's hard when a child is sick.
