So Sunday we took the kids over my husband Grandparents house. His grandma finally moved back him after a long road. She still has a long road to go. Unsure of her mental status will be and if it’ll continue to get better or not. She has a home aide that is living in there house. Family helped move things around and the weather was good enough for the kids to be outside and to be loud without scaring my husbands grandma.
If you remember in July Grandma J hand a major infection that went to her brain causing damage to her memory. She doesn’t remember everyone most days she just remembers herself.
So the kids decided to race each other down the drive away. Our 3 plus there 2 first cousins. All 5 seeing who could be the fastest.

I'm always happy to see kids outside playing. That's where they should be, not inside playing video games or on their smartphones! I hope they had a good time!

We don’t bring anything when we visit family. Each house does have toys for them so the kids do share those and tend to keep each other busy. It was warm enough to keep them outside other wise we would have left because they where pulling carpet up on the inside and all 5 can be loud and she can’t take loud right now. So we try to keep the groups small and remind them of library rules as I call them.
Winter some times we have no choice out electronics. If it snows I send them out for as long as they can take it.

@ShyBear88 I have the same--but opposite--problem here in Florida. In the summers, it is too damn hot and muggy for anyone to be outside, so everyone stays inside in the cold A/C...which then means everyone is playing on their electronic gadgets. So I totally get what you're saying!

@ShyBear88 I'm sorry about Grandma J. I missed that post but wanted to say I am sorry for what she has been going through as well as what you would all be going through having to witness it all.
Love the photo as it's not all that common now to see children playing outside.

My kids play outside a lot they get two recesses a day at school and most of our weekend is outside of the house unless the weather is really bad.

It's nice to see the kids playing outside, inside of sitting on the couch with their gadgets.

Mine typically don’t get there electronics too often. It’s normally early weekend mornings so that mommy and daddy can sleep in a little the rest is spend doing whatever we need to get done or visiting family.
