Trying To Adjust

It was only 68 degrees today, light wind, and the sun came back around 2 pm.
I put on shorts and a t shirt to take the dogs walking with me.
After 7 laps around the field I was warmed up, so the rest was a nice walk. I did 15 laps.
I needed to run into town and check the mail as well as get Tony milk, so I changed out of my "dog scented" clothes into another t shirt and shorts.
On the way home the sun was setting, it was dark when I pulled up the drive way. When I got out it was a shock all over by the cold 50`s.
I am trying but its hard to get used to this cold dry air.

Oahu has autumn weather too. I got to bring my waterproof jacket now. I thought my long, black and light coat was waterproof, it isn't! 
I got just one jacket that's completely waterproof and very warm to wear, so I tend to leave it at home. Not any more. It rained as I was walking my short walk to the library from the bus stop and I found out my coat isn't waterproof, like my other black jacket too, I found out it isn't waterproof with being a bit soggy. 
Live and learn they say, that I'm doing.

It did a little so I was a bit soggy at first. Now I'm all dry and mylotting. It got sunny, so I won't be wet going home. I'm putting my waterproof jacket in my little pull cart so I won't be caught off guard again.

I have been in denial that it was dipping into the 50's tonight and there you go ruining my dreams! I guess I'll survive. LOL. I tend to want to sleep late when it is cold. And the hubster hasn't gone to stock up on wood pellets for the heater yet either. I think I know what he is going to be doing this weekend!

I need to have my chimney swept, one day I heard birds. I don`t use it unless the power goes out, but I like having it in case.

For me, it is still hard to get used to the fact that at any time I can go walking on the beach. We have 76 and sun tomorrow while in Riga, Latvia it is 56 and raining

It's much like Melbourne weather. We get '4 seasons in one day', an Aussie jest we hear people say about our weather.

Those are pretty mild temps. We have kids wearing shorts and sandals at those temps. I know it is a shock for you cause you were still in summer just last week.

The change in weather does take some getting used to. It was cold and windy today, here. I was not ready for coat weather.

It's a shock to us up north too! It was 50 degrees yesterday, rainy and dreary. Low in the 30s and 40s. Yechhh!

Hope you are doing good..its lovely here today nearly 80 but cold in the morn and night.
