Following our nature...

Both sides of my family came to the West a few hundred years ago so it gives all of us a sense of belonging. But my father was one of those 'move around' types. He liked new things, new challenges, new people, and Mom was okay with all of it. She could handle herself in most any setting. So I came by being a wanderer naturally and according to my Mother it all started just before the age of two when she could not keep me home without locking the doors at all times. I was curious, friendly, sure of myself and liked new things....just like my Father. One day I asked him if he was my Father and he said: "So I was told", so...I knew he was. I lived in several states and dozens of towns, and would not give up one day of it. I may not have gotten rich with money, but had adventures money could not buy. I found it interesting that the two people I gave birth to chose good, steady lives with very little change. They knew from experience how the other side lived :-) Stay tuned. lol

I believe that is what life should always be about. Enjoying many adventures instead of trying to keep up with the rest of the world. Money comes and go, but finding fun in everything you do is Free and priceless. What a wonderful life to live @EeWhan. That's the kind of life I want for my babies!

Oh it has been interesting.. lol.. I did not think how I was going to support myself at old age (which is biting at my heels), but I would not trade the adventures for anything. lol.

I grew up in the military (daddy was in the Coast Guard) and I hated moving. I was shy and knew I was always the outsider. Glad you enjoyed your adventures...funny how our kids choose differently at times.

Yes it sure is! My father was military, too, and I just took it as normal. Luckily I was able to handle myself no matter where I ended up. lol..I finally settled down 15 years ago.. sort of like well, been there, done that...time to land somewhere lol

@EeWhan I landed in NC after my husband got out of the Navy and we've been there ever since.
