These lucky kids got extra play yesterday for a good reason. We where leaving them for the night with there Mamaw and Papaw (great grandparents). So the kids got eat dinner around 5pm, then we let them play in the play area of Chick-fa-la knowing they would be sleeping over that great grandparents house. It must have helped because we where told once asleep last night they where all out. Didn’t wake once for anything and I know they went to bed early like around 9.

I always found it beneficial to let my kids engage in physical activity as much as possible, just so they would be worn out at the end of the day. It worked pretty good with my son, he would conk out as soon as his head hit the pillow. My daughter is a night owl, so it didn't work as much for her. But she was always good, so I never had any issues with her staying up late. She would never be grumpy in the morning.

@ShyBear88 Yeah, she's always been a night owl, ever since she was a baby. I never really fought her on how late she stayed up because she was always little miss sunshine in the morning. So as long as she wasn't grumpy all the time, I didn't mind that she stayed up late. I'm a night owl myself, so I can relate.

Maybe they got too tired from playing.
